Peugeot 205 GTI uit 1984, afkomstig uit de allereerste maanden van de GTI-productie (AM84). Deze vroege serie is inmiddels zeldzaam, maar een exemplaar in deze mate van originaliteit is praktisch niet meer te vinden in Europa. De auto bezit nog alle unieke kenmerken die specifiek zijn voor deze eerste productiereeks: het vroege stuurwiel, de vierkante versnellingspookknop, de gladde luchtslang van de inlaat, het originele hoesje om de stroomverdeler en de vroegtype watertemperatuurmeter met identieke vormgeving aan die van de oliedrukmeter. Details die Peugeot al snel na de introductie wijzigde, maar die bij dit exemplaar nog volledig aanwezig zijn. Waar de meeste vroege 205 GTI’s in de loop der jaren talrijke updates en vervangingen kregen, is dit een zeldzame uitzondering. Deze auto staat vrijwel identiek aan hoe hij in 1984 de fabriek verliet, tot en met de fabrieksplastic op de stoelrails. Slijtdelen zijn uiteraard regulier vervangen, maar originele onderdelen die voor verkoop zijn vernieuwd, worden meegeleverd (zoals het luchtfilterhuis en een achterlicht met barst). De auto werd 20 jaar geleden gekocht door een Peugeot-specialist/verzamelaar van de eerste Belgische eigenaresse (aantoonbaar) en maakte sindsdien deel uit van een collectie. Begin dit jaar is onderhoud uitgevoerd: nieuwe banden, nieuwe olie, nieuwe distributie, nieuwe waterpomp, nieuwe uitlaat, nieuwe rotorkap en een recente APK. Tevens is de auto voorzien van een officieel “geboortecertificaat” dat de originaliteit bevestigt. Dit AM84-exemplaar is geen gerestaureerde showauto, maar een uitzonderlijk gaaf, eerlijk en vrijwel onaangeroerd voorbeeld van een vroege 205 GTI – precies waar de purist, verzamelaar of liefhebber van originaliteit naar op zoek is. Ik bied deze geweldige auto aan wegens inkrimping van mijn collectie. ----------------------------------------- Peugeot 205 GTI de 1984, issue des tout premiers mois de production de la GTI (AM84). Cette première série est aujourd'hui rare, mais un exemplaire avec un tel niveau d'originalité est pratiquement introuvable en Europe. La voiture conserve toutes les caractéristiques uniques de cette première série : le volant d'origine, le pommeau de levier de vitesses carré, la durite d'admission d'air lisse, le cache d'origine autour du distributeur et le manomètre de température d'eau, identique à celui de la pression d'huile. Des détails que Peugeot a rapidement modifiés, mais qui sont encore parfaitement présents sur cet exemplaire. Alors que la plupart des premières 205 GTI ont bénéficié de nombreuses mises à jour et pièces de rechange au fil des ans, celle-ci fait figure d'exception. Cette voiture est quasiment identique à sa sortie d'usine en 1984, jusqu'aux protections en plastique des rails de sièges. Les pièces d'usure ont bien sûr été remplacées régulièrement, mais les pièces d'origine remises à neuf pour la vente sont fournies (comme le boîtier du filtre à air et un feu arrière fissuré). Cette voiture a été achetée il y a 20 ans par un spécialiste/collectionneur Peugeot auprès de son premier propriétaire belge (information vérifiable) et a depuis fait partie d'une collection. Un entretien complet a été réalisé en début d'année : pneus neufs, vidange, courroie de distribution neuve, pompe à eau neuve, échappement neuf, tête d'allumeur neuve et contrôle technique récent. La voiture est également accompagnée d'un certificat d'authenticité officiel confirmant son origine. Ce modèle AM84 n'est pas une voiture de concours restaurée, mais un exemplaire exceptionnellement bien conservé, authentique et quasiment d'origine d'une 205 GTI de première génération – exactement ce que recherchent les puristes, les collectionneurs et les passionnés d'authenticité. Je mets en vente cette voiture exceptionnelle car je réduis ma collection. A 1984 Peugeot 205 GTI, dating from the very first months of GTI production (AM84). While this early series is now rare, finding an example with this level of originality is virtually impossible in Europe today. The car retains all the unique features specific to this initial production run: the early-style steering wheel, the square gear knob, the smooth intake air hose, the original distributor cover, and the early-type water temperature gauge (matching the design of the oil pressure gauge). These are details Peugeot changed shortly after the model's introduction, yet they remain fully intact on this specific car. Unlike most early 205 GTI models, which underwent numerous updates and part replacements over the years, this car is a rare exception. It remains almost exactly as it was when it left the factory in 1984—right down to the factory-applied plastic on the seat rails. While wear-and-tear items have naturally been replaced during routine maintenance, the original parts removed during these updates are included in the sale (such as the air filter housing and a cracked tail light). The car was purchased twenty years ago by a Peugeot specialist and collector from its first owner—a lady in Belgium (provenance documented)—and has been part of a collection ever since. Maintenance was carried out earlier this year, including new tires, an oil change, a timing belt replacement, a new water pump, a new exhaust, a new distributor rotor, and a recent technical inspection (APK). The car also comes with an official "birth certificate" confirming its originality. This AM84 model is not a restored show car, but an exceptionally well-preserved, honest, and virtually untouched example of an early 205 GTI—exactly what the purist, collector, or originality enthusiast is looking for.
