The facelifted 996.2 of 2001 received the 3.6-liter flat-six. The Carrera 4S, which combines the Turbo’s widened body and red-caliper brakes with the Carrera 4’s all-wheel drive, remains one of the most sought-after versions of this generation. This example was delivered new in Germany on 13 November 2002 by Porsche Zentrum Limburg-Diez. It then belonged to owners in Italy and then in France. The service booklet mentions five previous owners. The car arrived in France in 2012, and the current owner acquired it in December 2019. Its servicing is carried out by Porsche specialists, including Flatsix in Le Mans since 2020. Condition: This Porsche 911 996.2 Carrera 4S is presented in very good condition. • The bodywork is in very good condition. The paint, in its metallic midnight blue shade, is sparkling. The 18-inch five-spoke wheels are free of defects. A complete polish with ceramic protection and a treatment of the interior leather were carried out in March 2019. The cabin is also in good condition. The beige leather seats present well. The beige carpets are also in good condition. All onboard equipment is functional. • The engine underwent a major intervention in June 2017 at Vodiff (Entzheim, 67): powertrain removal, replacement of the intermediate shaft bearing (IMS) with the repair kit, of the crankshaft oil seal and of the gearbox mount, as well as a complete service. This operation addresses the known weak point of the M96 engines of this generation. The Tiptronic S automatic gearbox was serviced on that occasion.
