--- INFORMATIONS IN ENGLISH Superb spec Iconic buggy Impeccable condition Autofibra Manx 2 body Beautifully restored in 2026 French "carte grise collection" We are offering for sale a stunning Meyers Manx buggy, fresh from restoration, finished in red with a black and brown leather interior. The car has been restored to the highest standards with a brand new fiberglass Manx 2 body built by Autofibra in Portugal, a leading Meyers Manx specialist. The upholstery is also new, as are the adjustable shock absorbers, ATS wheels, and BFGoodrich tires. Its pop-up roof is also removable. During the 2026 restoration, the chassis was stripped down, sandblasted, powder-coated, and then reassembled in the best possible factory configuration: ball-joint front suspension, independent rear suspension, and a shaft-driven gearbox. This is also a fully reliable example, featuring, among other things, a new wiring harness, a new carburetor, a new electric fuel pump, a new electronic ignition, and a new alternator. The car is registered with a French classic car registration document and can therefore easily be registered elsewhere in the European Union. This Meyers Manx, with its 1500cc flat-four engine, is correctly registered as a Volkswagen Beetle with approved technical modifications, and is declared as a two-seater convertible buggy. In the early 1960s, unusual vehicles appeared on Californian beaches, inspiring engineer and surfer Bruce Meyers, who promptly designed and unveiled his Meyers Manx. From 1964 onwards, this vehicle acquired a legendary reputation, becoming a symbol of complete freedom and making notable appearances, particularly in The Thomas Crown Affair. The success wasn't limited to the small screen, as the Meyers Manx also triumphed at Pikes Peak. Until 1971, Bruce Meyers' company, BF Meyers & Co., produced approximately 5,200 Manx kits.
